Australia's music scene seems to be bumping ever since the emergence of Parkway Drive.  This band is a perfect example of why you need to keep an eye on the bands coming out of down under.  Almost immediately after I looked them up on Myspace, I went looking for their CD.  I could not stop listening.  Once I got my hands on the CD its all I listened to for days straight.  Both this album and the album before it encompass what they are capable of.  Their sounds is unique in the sea of Post Hardcore, but is similar enough that you become hooked on it.  With in the first 10 seconds of I Hate Hartley you want to restart it to hear the brutal intro again and again.  Each of the songs pulls the listener on a ride as you journey through each song.  There is a certain mood that is contained with in the digital walls of this CD.  There is almost something mellow and soothing about the way the music hits your ears,  but somehow you always find yourself banging your head.  It is very hard to even compare them to anyone in the scene, but if I had to try hard I would have to say it would be a across between Alexisonfire and A Day To Remember just not as poppy.  Both screamed and sang vocals rock your eardrums along with the relentless double bass and songs peppered with breakdowns.  But their versatility manifests in the parts of the songs they slow down and almost become ambient.  You'll find yourself both satisfied and singing along.  Listen to this album and Severed Ties at full volume.  And for any of you Andy Samberg fans I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the samples used on Severed Ties. Check Them Out!
