For Fans Of: Sea Of Treachery, Between The Buried And Me, The Crimson Armada

  I always get excited when I find a band from around my hometown, especially one that is so talented.  Considering the fact that Morgan's Accident is still a relatively unknown act, they hit the listener hard on this 10 song LP.  There is an intensity that this six piece brings to the table through the entirety of the thirty seven plus minutes to music.  What I find most enjoyable is the utilization of all the instruments in away that creates a sound that differentiates there music enough from the crowd of generic bands out there.  The clean vocals and synth work in a complimentary fashion that is neither over bearing or underwhelming.  In addition, the guitar work is complex and fast moving, both on an audio and visual level.  They incorporate tremolo picking, finger tapping, and sweeping, techniques will keep your adrenaline levels high and your heart pumping.  The vocal and drum work will keep your head nodding and feet tapping.  My only criticism of the album is that all these elements could be tighten up.  The skills are clearly there, but its a matter of refining their sound and bringing it to a new level.  I can only imagine what their next album will sound like and would be shocked if they weren't signed by the time that comes around.  For any fans of music from this genre, this album will be one that will garner quite a few plays.
