For Fans Of: For The Fallen Dreams, Agraceful, Attack Attack!
To state the obvious is, well obvious, but For The Fallen Dreams has given birth to a whole new vocal trend that many bands have decided to follow. The sound can be most easily be described as what a tough guy singing in a band would sound like. More specifically it is screamed vocals that are consistently on the lower side of the scale that are long and drawn out. To consider Chris Roetter's resume (Emarosa, Agraceful, Like Moths To Flames) and the way his vocals have evolved since he started out in this music scene is something else. His most recent screaming style coupled with the guitar and drum work of Like Moths To Flames paints a picture and the color is heavy. This EP definitely packs a punch and will keep your feet moving and your head bobbing. Although they are very talented musicians at times the songs can blend together. They do their best to bring in some contrast with clean vocals and some catchy melodies which does help to distinguish the songs. For fans of this scene/music this EP is sure to be a welcome addition to the collection. Sweettalker is simple, straightforward, and they do it well. This album is good, not great and with each listen it will continue to grow on you. This album is only available digital unfortunately for those who still buy CD's.
